The goal of Shanghai Mahjong is to clear the bored of all the tiles by mathing up free identical tiles. An exception to this rule is from the Flowers or Seasons group. These type of tiles just need another tile free tile from the same group to clear it from the board. Free tiles are tiles that arent covered by other tiles and that dont have a tile bordering it on its left or right hand side.
